Shop Notes:

Written in celebration of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's bicentennial observance in 1993, this cookbook contains a wide variety of recipes featuring herbs.  Chapters focus on propogation/seeding, planting, harvesting, and finally cooking (though, by far the majority of the book contains recipes and culinary tips).  The recipes are both local and international, highlighting the best use of each herb.  There are even some fun older recipes that were served to past (way past) students at UNC.  Overall, this is a very enjoyable read.

From the Publisher:

The purpose of this book is to inspire gardeners to grow and to use herbs in their cooking.  This book describes the identification, cultivation, and culinary use of some thirty herbs.
