This is a funky Junior League cookbook, with chapters organized around party themes and dining occasions rather than leaving the reader to make up their own.  This isn't a new concept in the Junior Leaguer's cookbook library, but somehow these menus seem a bit more pragmatic.  The theme is consistent throughout the recipes appear to be excellent, but still...this book is delightfully different.
