Shop Notes:

In my experience with Junior League cookbooks, the third edition from any give League bends towards diet and "healthy" food which usually means uninspired, low fat and high-carb dishes that aren't in popular rotation for today's health and wellness environment.  This is to say, they are still emblematic of a certain time, just not the one we're in currently.

But Par 3: Tea-Time at the Masters is different.

It diverges from that tired formula and doubles down on the best of the best Southern cuisine.  This book can easily be appreciated by today's palates at all of today's get-togethers, picnics, parties, and Sunday dinners.  The recipes are simple and feel special in just the way the Junior Leagues are famous for.

From the Publisher:

In the third cookbook published by the Junior League of Augusta, Par 3 tees off with 18 menus and a 19th Hole chapter which features sought-after local restaurant recipes and favorites from professional golfers. This third book in the Tea-Time at the Masters Series, the Official Cookbooks for the City of Augusta, Georgia!
