Out of Vermont Kitchens (1949) is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.

This is one of those classic American community cookbooks that has been revised many times over the years.  The original Out of Vermont Kitchens was published in 1939 and contained a whopping 400 pages of handwritten, illustrated recipes.

The recipes themselves aren't incredibly common in other American cookbooks, reflecting the regional nature of the recipes.  This is a fun cookbook with many recipes we would happily try.

Important Notes:

Please note that some illustrations in this cookbook, while considered acceptable at the time in which it was written, depict cultural stereotypes that would be considered racist in today's world. We are placing this note here so that folks can make a purchase decision with the understanding that these illustrations exist within the text.

This is the 20th (1949) printing of the 1939 version of the cookbook.

Release Date: 1939

Condition: Very good - moderate age wear and staining on the front and back covers. Binding is tight and the text is clear. Pages contain no notes or other marginalia.

Language: English
