Don't Assume I Don't Cook: Recipes for Women's Lives

Cookbooks for a Cause

From time-to-time, we post books that we believe can still have an impact on improving lives and helping the causes we care about most.  All profits on the sale of these books will be donated to the nonprofit organization outlined in the product listing.  Not 20%, not 15%...100% of the profits.

Buy one of these books and we make a donation and send you the book, it's that simple.  You might be able to find these books cheaper elsewhere, but that's not the point. Let's make a light in the darkness.

Donation Recipients:

We will be doing a 50/50 split between two of the OG groups that have worked tirelessly to improve women's rights and access to healthcare in the United States.

National Organization for Women (NOW)Since their founding in 1966, NOW's purpose is to take action through intersectional grassroots activism to promote feminist ideals, lead societal change, eliminate discrimination, and achieve and protect the equal rights of all women and girls in all aspects of social, political, and economic life.

Planned Parenthood - Founded in 1916, Planned Parenthood is a trusted health care provider, educator, and passionate advocate here in the U.S. as well as a strong partner to health and rights organizations around the world. Each year, Planned Parenthood delivers vital sexual and reproductive health care, sex education, and information to millions of people.  As a former wellness patient and education volunteer, I can tell you these are good people doing excellent work in a difficult environment.

Shop Notes:

Written by members of the National Organization for Women (NOW), this is the type of cookbook that I love the most...ones that directly fund grassroots action in hope of a better future.
