Classic French Tarts
Class Length: 3-4 hours
Location: 211 Alumni Ave, Durham NC, near Southpoint Mall
Some of the world's most delicious sweet and savory tarts can be found across France in their boulangeries and farmers' markets. Join us for some French-style fun in the kitchen and learn the secrets to making a wide variety of tarts and quiches!
In this class, students will learn to:
- Mix and roll the perfect pastry dough for a wide variety of tarts.
- Discover how to use local and seasonal ingredients.
- Learn how to bake tarts and quiches to just the right level of doneness.
- Learn special tips and tricks for developing your own signature tarts at home.
This is a hands-on class. Students will be able to take a box of tarts home at the end of class.
Allergen information: Eggs, Dairy (cow's milk, cow or goat cheese), Flour (wheat), peanuts and tree nuts may be used during class and are used in our kitchen.
Important notes: Our cooking kitchen can accommodate up to 8 students per class. Class tickets are nonrefundable. If you are unable to attend a class after purchase you may gift your ticket to another person or transfer your participation to a later class by contacting us a minimum of five days in advance.
Be sure to specify ahead of class if you have any additional dietary restrictions. Meats may be included as part of some recipes but can be made vegetarian if desired. Our cooking classes are not designed for children under the age of 16, thank you for your understanding. Prices listed are per person.
