A Collection of Recipes from the Mt. Zion A.M.E Church Willing Workers is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.

A lovely Southern church cookbook written by the Willing Workers at the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in Greensboro, NC.  Community cookbooks written by African American churches are relatively rare compared with the wealth of cookbooks printed for other causes and congregations.

Age is unknown, but it was likely written in the late 1990s or early 2000s. The recipes are simple pragmatic Southern favorites, often made with prepackaged mixes and other ingredients, but they are the creme de la creme of the Southern canon for church celebrations and dinners. This is a humble, yet excellent, cookbook.
