Winter Tarts at Blackbird Kitchens

Winter is the perfect season to bake rich, hearty tarts. In this four-hour class, we'll be exploring some of the traditional tarts that can be found across European boulangeries and farmers' markets.
Join us for some fun in the kitchen and learn the following:
- Mix and roll the perfect pastry dough for a wide variety of tarts, both sweet and savory.
- Create your own fillings leveraging local and seasonal ingredients.
- Bake a tart to just the right level of doneness.
- Learn special tips and tricks for making your own unique tarts at home.
This is a hands-on class. Participants will be able to take their creations home with them at the end of class.
Allergen information: Eggs, Dairy (cow's milk, cow or goat cheese), Flour (wheat), peanuts and tree nuts may be used during class and are used in our kitchen.
Important notes: Please note that cooking classes are nonrefundable and nontransferable to another date. If you are unable to attend a class after purchase you may gift your ticket to another person. Be sure to specify ahead of time if you have any additional dietary restrictions. Meats will be included as part of some recipes but can be made vegetarian if desired.
