Published in 1977, Frederica Fare is a an excellent collection of recipes from a band of islands of the coast of Georgia that includes Sea Island, St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, Cumberland Island. I'm not really sure what to say about this cookbook other than it's still incredibly useful for a wide variety of cooks today. Parents with children will find a ton of quick and useful recipes, weekend chefs will find a plethora of seafood and fine dining recipes from the Cloister Hotel (still a five star hotel today), and everyone can enjoy the wealth of comfort food food recipes in between.
My heart belongs with charitable cookbooks, but it's rare to find a cookbook that is still so widely useful and varied that I could cook from it for an entire month and never get tired. That's saying something.
